Last week Prime Speed Sport and FHK Racing visited the famous Mount Panorama circuit for the first time â a fact finding mission to learn the track before GT races here in the future.
We had a few curveballs thrown our way in the build up, but hit the track on schedule with 5hrs of driving time exclusively for Francois Beziac in the Chancellor Porsche Cayman GT4.
A day of dry and a day of wet conditions challenged us in different ways, and Francois really came into his own in the rain; topping two sessions outright, one in P2, another in P3 and never falling outside the top 6 all day.
We were encouraged by the Cayman outperforming 997, 991 and 992 Cup cars as well as a few ex V8 Supercars and GT3-spec machines in the slippery conditions!
That’s it for 2023 for us now, but we’ll be back on track real soon with testing and planning for a busy 2024 season abroad and at home in NZ đ
